John is co-founder and executive director of the Foundation for Fund Governance.  He started his international treasury career in New York, first at J.P. Morgan and then at Colgate-Palmolive and Continental Grain before setting up currency derivatives trading in New York and London for what is now a Credit Suisse subsidiary.  After doing a similar job for Mitsui Trust in London and New York, John was recruited to Paris to be International Treasurer of CCF Bank (now part of HSBC) where he restructured the global trading operations, implemented the capital requirements dictated by the Basle Accord and set up a joint venture with an American hedge fund which he subsequently joined.  In 1999, John moved to Monaco where he was advisor to a local private bank and a family office.  In 2009, after 22 years abroad, John returned to the U.S. where he currently advises on hedge fund restructuring and sits on the board of a bipartisan think tank in Washington D.C.  A Harvard College graduate, John was also the founding President of the Harvard Club of Monaco.
