Anthony Elson is an international economist, consultant and university lecturer in the Washington, DC area. For a number of years, he was a senior staff member of the IMF, and more recently has been a consultant to the World Bank. In addition, he has been teaching courses on comparative economic development and the global financial crisis at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. His book “Governing Global Finance: The Evolution and Reform of the International Financial Architecture” was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2011.
