A date for your diary is Sunday the 6th December at the Ritz Carlton. This is the welcome reception for members attending the meeting of the International Tax Planning Association. The ITPA held a small seminar here in the 80s, but this is the first time in 29 years that it has held a full meeting in the Cayman Islands.
Talks and discussion sessions will continue through the Monday and Tuesday – Tim Ridley, Henry Harford, Justin Appleyard and Andrew Miller bringing ITPA members up to date on the facilities we can provide to the international tax planner, Steven L Cantor and Rahul Ranadive talking about our uses to taxpayers in (respectively) South America and the United States, and with a talk on the way the IRS gets information about Caribbean jurisdictions to be given by the well-known writer and lecturer Marshall Langer, founding author of Langer on International Tax Planning, and a talk on investment in high-tax countries from the Association’s President, Milton Grundy, who is the head of Gray’s Inn Tax Chambers in London and will be known to many of us as the draftsman of our Trusts Law, as it was originally enacted.
THE ITPA is a multi-disciplined association of over 1000 bankers, trust officers, finance directors, accountants, lawyers and others with a practical interest in the tax aspects of cross-frontier transactions.
